The Terrace: A new Weimer Property at TCU
Excited doesn’t begin to describe how we feel about our new project, The Terrace!
We will have two locations for the Terrace: Waits Avenue and Lubbock Avenue. Both projects are in the first block south of Berry Street, so its only ONE block to TCU campus.
EXTERIOR: The Terrace at TCU, Waits Avenue
This building is so fresh and different than anything else around TCU. Our architects at 97W made us proud when we saw this design.
Because we’ve been renting properties in the TCU area for more than 20 years, we started this project with a long list of requirements to ensure that we built THE.BEST. project.
Building a great property is important to us because its part of the Weimer Properties family. We are a locally-owned, TCU-alum, family business. We want our properties to reflect the high standards that our tenants expect from us.
EXTERIOR: The Terrace at TCU, Lubbock Avenue
We love beautiful buildings that take advantage of the unique qualities of location. This property will be at the corner of two streets: Lubbock Avenue and W. Devitt Street, which meant that we could create a really awesome corner!
Because this property is on the corner, we will have homes that face both Lubbock Avenue and W. Devitt Street.
Both properties are also going to have great landscaping (like all of our properties do). Many tenants have told us that they can pick out our properties around TCU, because they look beautiful outside! There will be outdoor seating, bike racks, and drought tolerant landscaping with artificial turf for year-round beauty.
THE INTERIOR: The Kitchen
Did you notice the TWO refrigerators in the photo?? In the 4-bedroom and 5-bedroom properties, there will be two refrigerators. The 5-bedroom will also have two dishwashers.
There is also a large pantry, so there is enough room for everyone to store whatever they need! The laundry room will also have extra space, because you can never have too much storage!
All the appliances — stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, dryer — will be included in each unit.
THE INTERIOR: The Living Area
See that sliding door — it opens from the living area out to a lovely terrace, with enough room for chairs. Even on the first floor, there will be a porch to enjoy outdoor space. We believe in beauty inside and outside!
We’ve even been intentional about the lighting and placement of plugs. With lots of lighting, the entire unit will feel bright. The hallways have been designed to provide enough room to move furniture.
On the third floor of the 4-bedroom and 5-bedroom properties, there is an additional living space and a second terrace. Our intent was to create a perfect blend of community space while still providing private spaces for every resident.
THE INTERIOR: The Bedroom
We have minimum bedroom size requirements. We want our tenants to have a room that feels homey and fits their furniture. All the bedrooms have enough space for your bed, nightstand, and a dresser. In addition, every bedroom has a walk-in closet.
And, every bedroom has its own bathroom. We also designed the bathrooms with enough countertop space for getting ready!
There will be four sizes available: 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 4-bedroom, and 5-bedroom.
All homes include all appliances: refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, full-size washer, and full-size dryer.
Reserved off-street parking will be available for each resident*!
