We have excessive trash. What should we do?

There are three solutions through the City of Fort Worth Solid Waste Services (trash department)

SOLUTION ONE

This solution gets the trash out of your way the fastest.  You can take your excess trash to one of the City of Fort Worth drop-off station station.

  • The closest location to TCU is 6260 Old Hemphill Road.
  • Don’t forget to take a copy of your current water bill to access services at the drop-off locations.

SOLUTION TWO

The City of Fort Worth offers Bulk Waste pickup once per month.  In the TCU area, it is the last Monday of every month, but you can confirm your week on the Solid Waste Services page.

  • Fort Worth provides monthly curbside collection of items that are too large, heavy or bulky to fit in the trash can.
  • Free pickup is limited to 10 cubic yards and should NOT be in plastic bags.
  • Bulky items should be placed at the curb by 7am on the Monday of your assigned week.  The City should pick up your items by 5pm on Saturday of your assigned week.

SOLUTION THREE

You may purchase Pay Bags from the City of Fort Worth.  They are blue bags that will be picked up with your weekly trash service.  They come in sets of 5 for $15 plus tax.  Call 817.392.1234 to order the bags.  They will be mailed to you and the cost will be added to your bill from the City of Fort Worth Water Department.
